Happy Hallmark Day

Just kidding. It's not really Hallmark Day (at least I don't think so......) but as I was going through the 3 foot stack of books beside my bed I found my birthday card from my mom stashed between two books. It is such a great card. So I will share... I hope Hallmark does not mind.....

How to Make a Beautiful Life
Reflections for a Daughter on Her Birthday

Love yourself.
MAKE PEACE with who you are
and where you are
at this moment in time.

Listen to your heart.
If you can't hear what it's saying
in this noisy world,
MAKE TIME for yourself.

Enjoy your own company.
Let your mind wander among the stars.

Try.
Take chances.
MAKE MISTAKES.
Life can be messy
and confusing at times,
but it's also full of surprises.
The next rock in your path
might be a stepping stone.

Be happy.
When you don't have what you want,
want what you have.

MAKE DO.
That's a well-kept secret of contentment.

There aren't any shortcuts to tomorrow.
You have to MAKE YOUR OWN WAY.
To know where you're going
is only part of it.
You need to know where you've been, too.
And if you ever get lost, don't worry.
The people who love you will find you.
Count on it.

Life isn't days and years.
It's what you do with time
and with all the goodness and grace
that's inside you.
MAKE A BEAUTIFUL LIFE.....
the kind of life you deserve.

Andy-you seriously have the most amazing blog posts, yes you are publish worthy. I love your wonder etc posts and the things you think of are so great. Some people's blogs seem like a "keeping up with the joneses" blog, like hey look we went on this trip, we bought, this, we.... but yours are just real and thoughtful and I love reading them. Jill

Not bad if I do say so myself. I learnt a lot from it too.

Sounds like a great weekend. The dresses and the girls are adorable. I'm glad you are finding things to do without Dan so it isn't so stressful for you and you can go have fun with the kids. It seems like just yesterday I was speeding to Leth. in my new car to watch the kids so you could have Natty. Anyways she sure has been a blessing in all our lives. I love the smile.
