Yep, you heard me right, Dan had a whole day off today. Which was his first whole day off in quite a while. (Well, I guess he had yesterday off too but we spent 3 hours at church so that doesn't count.) Today I had him all to myself and we had a great time, too. We started off at the garden center at Superstore and spent $30 on dirt and manure (ha ha, crazy to think of it that way, hey?) for our flower bed out front of our house which is being covered! in! new! siding! Yippee, no more sickly yellow! AND... we can thank the provincial wind for that. No more cursing this windy city because it blew some siding off the back of our house in January and the new siding is covered by insurance. Ah, so nice.
So we spent most of the day playing outside in the dirt, taking trips inside for Paige to use the potty. She has done fabulous and is pretty much totally trained. We even went for a last-minute lunch out to Boston Pizza with all the kids Saturday afternoon (which I hadn't planned so Paige was wearing her good old waffle undies). I had been putting pull-ups on her when we would go out (so I think we used two) but she did so good at the restaurant and told us when she needed to go. She really has only had about 5 accidents total.
Dan made nachos for dinner while I tidied up and vacuumed and we headed off to the kids Little League game. Grandma and Grandpa Salmon came to watch and the kids played great. I think Dan's cell phone only rang once all day when he happened to be kneeling on the pitchers mound at the ball game.
We are loving the warmer weather, spending lots of time outside and have dug our shorts out, washed and put away winter coats (again, and hopefully for good this year).

Sounds great. I hope you get to have lots of days like that this summer. I love the siding, especially the colour. Have a great day.
