catching up

Ty turned 9. His party was hockey and it was very loud.


We talked the girls out of birthday parties this year. Instead, Chelsey and I went out shopping and for dinner with her best friend Madison (who just happens to be my best friends daughter). They had a great time picking out earrings and being goofy during dinner.
We were able to go to Madison's baptism that weekend too. It was a great day. Chelsey wanted her baptism to be just like Madison's, right down to the baked potato.

For Kami's birthday, my mom and I took her out shopping to the mall. She picked out her new green shirt, got her ears peirced and bought a new wallet and a stuffy with her birthday money. She was thoroughly spoiled for the day with a new bike and scooter and was exhausted by the end of the day. On her actual birthday, she had her cute little friend from Kindergarten over to play. They had a great time together and suit each other perfectly.


At the end of march, Ty and Chelsey were in the school talent show. Chelsey did a skip-it routine with some friends and Ty's Suessical choir did one of their songs from the play they were in with the junior high.

Grandma and Grandpa Salmon came over one night for dinner and brought birthday gifts which included hula-hoops for everyone... and yes, I've seen Mel hula-hoop and it was awesome!


Ty played Steve Nash basketball this spring. He absolutely loved it! He was lucky enough to have two of his best friends on his team, Matt and Jamie... and had awesome coaches (Matt and Jamie's dads!)



The day finally came for Chelsey to be baptized. She waited and waited and it turned out to be a great day!

On Mother's Day (and her birthday too!) my little sister had her baby, Kingston Barry . He is such a sweet little baby... almost makes me wish... nope, nevermind. He was a great distraction during those first couple weeks of his little life when Robert was really sick. What a blessing that he came early!
