grateful

Today I am very grateful.

I'm grateful for modern day transportation and that it only takes us two hours to drive (in a comfortable, fast vehicle) to Calgary for Kami's doctors appointment.

I'm grateful for a good doctor who is genuinely interested in Kami's health. She was very pleased with how great Kami is doing (and so am I!).

I'm grateful for my mom who came with me. She was the navigator, the in-van entertainment, a confidant, and a really patient "damma". Natty did not sleep once the whole drive. Thanks mom!

I'm grateful for my girls and how brave they are to try new things even when they are afraid. They both flipped off the high bar into the foam pit at gymnastics tonight and I was so proud.

I'm grateful that Ty was in a good mood tonight and is always so willing to help me out with small jobs around the house. (mini-sticks with dad always results in good behaviour....)

I'm grateful for a really awesome friend who had Ty and Chels over after school when I couldn't be home for them. She even sent the girls fruit and fresh baked bread to eat before gymnastics.

I'm grateful that I could count on Dan tonight. He made dinner and cleaned the kitchen when it was done..... then cleaned it again when the girls and I came home and made a mess in it.

I'm grateful for the funny things kids say that make me laugh out loud. It feel so good.

I'm grateful that we got to see the lady walking her Great Dane (I think, it's ridiculously huge) just because it is so fun to see. That dog is crazy big..... and while we were driving past it Kami says " That huge dog is probably crappin' it's scat all over the place". I love that she was polite and used the word "scat"! What good manners!
