ninguna imaginación

Did you know you could translate languages online? Well, I was having trouble coming up with an interesting title for this post and thought maybe some Spanish would help spice things up a bit. It says "no imagination". Which is me. lately.

I have been struggling a tiny bit lately. With my current situation as a mother of five young children. The exhaustion of all of the daily mundane tasks as well as trying to teach them everything and also the effort it takes to get any child at any given time to listen to what I am saying is taking over. See, even that sentence was exhausting.... wasn't it?

So. I pray. Everyday, over and over. For help. For patience. To know what to do and what not to do. To know what to say and what not to say (that one is hard for me! my mouth, oh my horrid mouth...). .... Anyways, in the times things do go right (the way I want them to and had planned out in my head beforehand), those fleeting moments of peace and joy I feel so grateful for so many things. I want to make a conscious effort to record some of these things today.

*for this house. if fits us. it's super close to the school and in a great neighbourhood.
*for Dan's job. it's a good one... and he's really good at it too.
*that my kids don't struggle academically (yet) and that they still enjoy school.
*for my mom and robert. they took my kids for me for 3 nights. 'nuff said.
*for Paige's adorable curls
*for Natalie's cheeks (I mean, seriously, have you seen them?!)
*for Chelsey's confidence
*for Ty's sensitivity and willingness to help
*for Kami, the sweetest little girl ever
*for Dan and all he does to help me physically and emotionally
*for books
*that I can pray when I need to.... and when I just want to
*for answers to prayers
Because today I need to remember all the good things that I have in my life. Because there are so many. So so many. And before I know it these little people are going to be all grown up and all my hard work (and all the times I was able to keep my mouth shut! and be kind and loving always), all my hard work will pay off. Right?

I was intrigued by your title - the Spanish worked!
You are right. with everything. Being grateful really can change our perspective - we do have much to be thankful for.
I always love to hear your talk about prayer. You get it. Thanks for your example!
