I almost had an exciting day today.
About a month ago I received a court summons to serve Jury Duty, starting with the jury selection dated March 7 - today.
So I got it all organized, my mom came in to babysit. She decided to come in last night and sleep over because I had to be there so early this morning.
I got there right on time and found out that all jury duty for today had been cancelled. Hooray! So I ran some errands and came home. I didn't know if I was disappointed or relieved. A bit of both I guess.
I got home just in time to go for breakfast with my mom and the two little girls. It was delicious and it's always fun to take just a couple of the kids out at a time. The meals ended with suckers tied to the end of helium filled balloons. The girls couldn't have been more thrilled. While Paige didn't need prompting, I reminded Natty to say "thanks" to the lady when she came back to our table. She just couldn't wait, I guess. She stood up on her chair and yelled to the waitress....
"thank you lady!!"
I guess I might have an exciting day after all.

I've always wanted to be summoned to jury duty....that is kind of a downer that you didn't get too, although nice not to be stuck inside there all day or longer...it would've been boring if it was for a theft or something minor like that.
I was glad it got cancelled so I could spend the day with you and the kids. Nattie is such a hoot. I also enjoyed going on Kami's field trip. I can't believe how good they were to the kids. Hope we have another day together soon.
Sounds fun to me :) Jury duty sounds cool though.
