week in review, and preview

Sunday: my talk went well. I didn't bawl through the whole thing so that was nice. We've started a new tradition of movie night on Sunday's (remember Walt Disney Presents when we were little?) It's a nice way to relax, and unwind after a busy week (and it gives me a bit of time to get organized for the week to come). We watched Arthur and the Invisibles and had carmel popcorn.

Monday: I left my house for the grocery store at 9:30 am and didn't return home until just after 12:00. Two hours and $230 later I couldn't find anything to make for lunch. Family Home Evening on the third Article of Faith and a game that involved 100 tiny peices of paper taped all over the house (I'm still finding them). We had brownies for a treat.... and Dan didn't eat o.n.e. I wish I had an ounce of self-control.

Tuesday: Kami to school (late as usual), cell phone to Dan at work, playgroup, pick up Kami, lunch rush, make dinner while the baby's sleep, kids to doctors appt, Chels to dance, Ty to cubs, quick dinner of sloppy joes and fruit salad (thank goodness I made this earlier), a visit from friends, pick up Ty, pick up prescriptions and home to bed. Tuesday's are our busiest day... we moved our Primary meetings to Wednesday just for me, otherwise I would have been walking out the door at 7 to go to that.

Wednesday: We skipped Paige's speech class this morning because I couldn't find anyone to watch the other two girls. But that's okay because Natty's not feeling good so we stayed home and they had a long bubble bath this morning, and we started the laundry and tried to rearrange the living room furniture (it really only works one way so I don't know why I bother). I'm just feeling the need for some change. Tonight is little league sign ups and a primary meeting.... and just wondering... does anybody know for sure if Micheal Jackson is actually going to be on American Idol tonight? I would hate to miss that.....

Thursday: I'm going shopping in Calgary with my mother-in-law, and two sister-in-laws... so excited. Good luck at home with all of the kids, Dan!

Friday: the kids have no school but Chelsey has two birthday parties, and Kami one.

Saturday: Ty has an activity at the church in the morning, I have a wedding shower in the afternoon, and Ty is being baptized that evening (more about that later).

Sunday: I am doing sharing time in Primary so I guess I should finish planning that sometime.

Other than that:

- after all the working out that I try to do during the days and that Dan and I do in the evenings... I cannot lose the last two pounds to get to my first goal weight...grrr. I am so frustrated about that!

-I am getting extremley tired of this never-ending winter and am trying to remind myself that my kids went trick-or-treating in their costumes last fall and not in their snowsuits. So maybe winter started late?
- I spend my days wiping snotty noses and trying to keep a balance between my girls and their constipation problems and not changing 20 diapers a day.

- all I really want to do is go to Costco for some of these....
and a new one of these. I killed mine and need a new one because I used it at least 3 times a week, I honestly don't know how else I would cook chicken, and I miss my grilled veggies, and fast, easy, yummy sandwiches.....

I hope someday we can look back at these crazy days and miss them when our kids are grown and gone... maybe not. :)

You are such a great writer. I wish I could just make my words flow like that. Sorry I wasn't there to help this week. It amazes me how you get it all done. Hope Natty is okay and that you get some sleep.

where does Chelsea dance? I eventually want to put McKenna in dance. Anytime you need someone to watch your girls during the day drop them off here. We'd love to have them! Ty's baptism...so fun! can't wait to hear more about it.

I"m tired from reading this post. I'm obviously not up for more than 3 little ones.
