Monday - I didn't make dinner because I spent the morning cleaning and then went out for lunch and shopping with Meg and Mom (who just got home from Hawaii the night before). I got home just in time to meet the kids after school, we rushed to meet Robert at the hospital (his work) to pick up some stuff I was supposed to pick up two weeks ago (oops). Then we picked up Dan from work, brought everyone home and immediately left to take Chelsey and Kami to their last class of gymnastics. Dan made dinner.... and I do believe it was IchiBan. In his defence, we had no groceries.
Tuesday - I got a call at 2:45 from the school that Kami had fallen at recess and wouldn't stop crying, which is very unusual for Kami who is really tough. As soon as I got her home and settled down a bit I could tell she had broken her collar bone (she was acting exactly how Chelsey had when she broke hers). I spent the next 2 hours debating whether or not to take her into emergency for x-rays and trying to find someone to cover for me for Activity Days. We got to the hospital around 5:45 and got home at 9:45. Yep, it's broken. She has a sling to wear. Dan fed the kids mini-pizzas. Kami and I stopped at DQ for a treat on the way home from the hospital.
Wednesday - We had pizza and a Christmas movie night. We had to bribe the kids to stay home from their school Christmas ball somehow!
Thursday - I made dinner. Yep, it was crazy though. Shaunie was here fixing my shirt for me to wear to a Christmas party Saturday night and burning Christmas CD's. There were 8 kids running around. There was the usual after-school-dinner-time-crankiness-get-your-reading-done madness. And Ty and I were trying to get ready for his choir concert. Which was amazing.
Friday - The girls and I ate a late lunch at Shaunie's house. Ty and Paige ate pizza and enough candy for an army at cousin Sam's birthday party. Nobody was really hungry at dinner time and we were getting ready to go swimming for Drew's birthday so I didn't want to push eating too much (we don't want any cramps!). Dan and Talie stayed home and ate chips and salsa and went to bed early and the kids and I ate some Christmas goodies that were dropped off while we were swimming. (Thanks Atwoods and Holthes! Yum!)
So there you have it. I only made dinner one night! A couple months ago I told myself that I had to lose 5 pounds before the Christmas party that now in two days. I weighed myself this morning and I did it!
Maybe making dinner every night is over-rated!

You are one busy woman! :o) Glad you liked the treats! (I'm just glad there was some left for you! Haha)
Andy, be careful what you say....!!! I have lost a bunch of weight in the past 2 years and recently saw someone I don't see often who noticed and commented on it. She asked what I'd been doing and I jokingly said, "I don't eat!" Apparently she believed me and was asking others if I'm okay and is worried about me! I found it hilarious cause I could NEVER have the will power to be even close to anorexic. I just love food too much! Unless it's melted cheese in a cup.... I still think that's disgusting! Put it on some toasted garlic bread or pizza and that's a different story though! We really do need to get together sometime. Send me a message with your number, okay?

I can't believe how crazy your week was and that you have two kids who've broken their collar bone! Crazy.
Oh my gosh girl what a week you have had! So sorry to hear about Kami, I hope she starts feeling better for Christmas. You should have called me to help, next time you better- I owe you big time. Have fun at your Christmas party!! Sounds like I need to stop cooking dinner!
I think that cooking is overrated. Although my excuse is because nothing sounds good to me at all. So chicken nuggets are it. Hopefully things will slow down a bit for you.
Hey! I got my canvas printed at pixel2canvas...I waited til they had a 50% off sale (they have a lot of sales) and so it was actually affordable. I wanted to get canvases made of my kids but thought, nah I 'll just want to get them changed soon so I am waiting til I get updated pics. They are really great though b/c you don't have to buy a frame and they look really nice.
