Christmas 2010 Top Ten

1. Spending so much time with family. It worked out that Dan's scheduled days off fell on 2 days right in between Christmas and New Years so we got to spend a lot of time together. We did a whole bunch of swimming and even took the whole family out to the movies one afternoon.

2. This game. It is so. much. fun. It got a little bit out of control with my family but that is only to be expected. We played so many games throughout the holidays. I loved it!

3. Chelsey's "IPod" (mp3 player), Ty's PaperJamz, Paige's pie making set, Kami's new baby, and Natalie's Dora guitar.

4. We really got to play a lot of game with friends and family. Jerry, Saray, and their kids came in one night for dinner. Mel and Jean came too. The kids played while we played Apples to Apples and The Game of Things. Ty is getting to the age where he'd rather play games with the adults then to play with the kids. It was fun having him play, too! He's a pretty funny guy! We also got invited to McCarthy's for dinner (which was delicious) and had fun playing a ton of games there!

5. We spent Christmas at my mom's with my sister Megan and her family and my brother Jay and his girlfriend Christine (who we don't see very often so it was a lot of fun).

6. My new slippers and my new earrings.

7. We put our Christmas tree up downstairs this year and ended up enjoying it much more than we usually do since we spend most of our time in the evenings down here. We had to rearrange the furniture to put it up and we like it much better the way it is now.

8. This picture.

9. The fact that I got almost all of our Christmas gifts for such a great deal when I went shopping on Black Friday.

10. We got UnoSpin from our friend Kristi and have played it over and over again. It's great because everyone (except Natty) can play on their own. Our kids also played a lot of Whoonu with their friends during the break.

Although it was low key (Dan was on call), we also had a fun New Years. We had Grandma and Grandpa Salmon over for dinner (Indian Tacos) and treats and games. Jana, Jamie and the kids also stopped by for a couple of hours and it was fun visiting and eating treats. We all (minus Natty) stayed up until midnight to watch the countdown on T.V. The kids were pretty excited and kept making me promise that I had not changed the clocks like last year.

i love reading your posts. I was so happy to see you and your mom on friday. Wish we could have spent more than a few moments together. But I guess that is the challenge in those situations. Thanks for being there. Much appreciated.

THINGS is the funnest game ever! We played it all christmas too...and it was out of hand the whole time, ha ha...most of the time there were atleast 10 or so of us playing and you'd get answer like "things you should never do in public...pee on a fire hydrant while juggling severed heads"...oh ya, thats a real one, ha ha.
