first of many

Saturday we spent the day in Waterton. I'm sure we will spend a lot of time there this summer (as usual). We just love it there. The scenery, the family togetherness, the playground, the ice cream and the wildlife!
Paige decided last year that she is not an ice cream fan. She decided to try out an apple flavoured candy stick instead. Dan got a blueberry one. They were good and much cheaper than ice cream!

Talie enjoying her ice cream... seconds before she tripped and fell right on top of it. Luckily, she was happy with Dan's sucker stick he quickly handed over to stop the tears.

It was windy and cool but we still had a picnic (aka fed the gophers all of our chips), played at the playground, walked around with Roxy (who was so well behaved!), had a treat, threw rocks in the lake, drove over the "big hills" on the Redrock Canyon road, all the usual fun things.

We got super close to a little chipmunk while we were at Cameron Falls. It came right onto Dan's hand and the kids all got to put their hand out to it for a sniff as well. Unfortunatly, I didn't have my camera at that point.... but I did catch this....

I love the first day in Waterton after a long winter! And I am SO excited to be in the same ward -- Makenna was so happy to hear that she and Chels would be in the same class -- awesome! (Maybe now we'll actually see each other! Haha)
